Description
A unique evening of multi-faith, adult learning on the Mississippi River
Hosted by By The Rivers, students, teachers, and storytellers, will explore the power of stories. Together we will engage in discussion, text study, and artistic exploration of the truth and wisdom in stories. We will consider the way stories transmit values and shape perception in our lives and in a variety of religious traditions. Our learning will held on a three hour riverboat ride on the Mississippi.
Teachers:
- Jim Bear Jacobs, member of the Stockbridge-Munsee Mohican Nation and pastor at the Church of All Nations
- Anse Tamara Grey, teacher, founder of Daybreak Press Global Bookshop and Gathering Space
- Andrea Marboe, writer, activist, and artist at Magpie Solutions, LLC
- Rev. Dr. John Marboe, pastor at Zion Lutheran Church, humanities professor, and laborer
- Rabbi Alan Shavit-Lonstein, teacher, founding director of By The Rivers, and an Apple Genius
