The Theology department continues the dream and work of Dr. Terence Nichols and his focus on Muslim-Christian dialogue by establishing the Encountering Islam Initiative. With the Terence Nichols Memorial Symposium, the department invites a scholar of Islam to be in residence at St. Thomas to give a public lecture, engage with university administrators, faculty, staff, and students at a public dinner, and give a workshop on some aspect of Islam for the theology faculty.

All events are free and open to the public. To make an accessibility request, call Disability Resources at (651) 962-6315. For questions please contact the Theology Department at theology@stthomas.edu or 651-962-5300.
