Annotation

Reads Hemingway’s work in relation to Heidegger’s hermeneutic conception of truth and being, arguing that Hemingway’s use of linguistic conventions reflects Heidegger’s thought. Tripathi also argues that Hemingway’s transparent narrative style allows the reader to experience reality rather than simply grasp linguistic signs. Briefly refers to “A Clean, Well-Lighted Place.”
