Nothing Was Ever Lost: Another Look at "That Marge Business"
Document Type
Book Chapter
Annotation
Aims to atone for the textual harassment of the real Marjorie Bump by clearing up misguided assumptions regarding her in the Hemingway biocritical tradition. Stoneback argues that the stories “The Three-Day Blow” and “The End of Something” are often misread because of these assumptions, and that a better reading of the story holds that Marge is a Hemingway hero.
