Annotation
Draws on queer theory and Freud’s theory of the uncanny to explore the thematic destabilization of gender and sexuality permeating both stories. Rubóczki argues that the characters’ sexuality resists the homo-heterosexual binary, reading their difficulties in creating, transcribing, and citing poetic texts as a reflection of gender crisis.
