Annotation

Argues that Hemingway’s inclusion and exaggerated translation of the taurine text enables the reader to differentiate between the artistry and tradition of “pure” bullfighting and the sensationalism and grotesqueness of extreme incidents to appreciate the sport for its inherent expressiveness and aesthetic pleasure.
