Annotation

Recounts the failed real estate investment of Hemingway’s father, Clarence, who purchased lots in Florida in hopes of turning a quick profit. Grace Hemingway sold most of the lots after her husband’s suicide, but willed two of them to Ernest. They remained undeveloped and vacant at the time of the author’s death.
