Spanning thirty-four years of scholarship, Josephs’s anthology analyzes The Sun Also Rises, Death in the Afternoon, For Whom the Bell Tolls and other works within their artistic, historical, and cultural contexts, devoting specific attention to the rituals and traditions of the corrida.
